As California is telling some residents to crank their AC up to 78 degrees, it's worth noting that the state with two Democrat supermajorities can no longer reliably keep the lights on.

Various media outlets are telling us that California fires are growing ever-more "apocalyptic" or like "hell."  These are not images conjured by rational, grounded humans when discussing perennial, ancient phenomena.  Not to sound like a wizened country mouse (I'm more of a suburban fella), but city-dwellers often "love" nature while never bothering to learn anything about it.  Basically the opposite of guns, which they never learn anything about but hate.
