Interview with Kate MacDonald - In this episode Augy engages in a beautifully passionate conversation with Halifax, Nova Scotia's dynamic Kate MacDonald. Kate is deeply committed to community engagement through art, music, activism and authentic 1st-voice communication. Her diverse sense of community grows out of the wide variety of people who helped to 'raise her up'. Kate refers to a succession of mentors, organizations, teachers and community 'safe spaces' that helped her navigate the complexities of race, class and gender. Kate uses her clear vision of her past to strongly advocate and teach the next generation of Halifax, Nova Scotia youth.
