Being a sheltered 20 year old, a creative and the youngest of four sisters, she never imagined that losing her Mum - Samira - could become a reality...until it happened.
In this vulnerable re-telling of her journey, she takes you through the challenges she faced, how she learnt that she wasn't alone, and what helped her through.
Gaby is a multi-faceted creative. She's a writer of poems and songs, a musician, performer, and one-time playwright through her immersive theatre show - 'Rise & Fall' - a show about her Mum and the journey of grief. She's passionate about the use of creativity to process, express, and transform grief. Gaby started The Grief Cocoon to raise awareness of the realities of grief and give people creative tools to process grief and connect with others.
