Our guest, Nina, had traveled to teach English abroad after finishing University instead of immediately pursuing her career. She is a fellow podcast host of Pass the Poutine Podcast, a show about Asian Canadians. We dive into the social scripts that most immigrant families (Asians specifically discussed in this episode) instill on their children in North America and how Nina's travels in Asia had brought her out of her comfort zone.
