These women laid the foundation for the management careers of the 40 women featured in the new groundbreaking book, Ladies Leading: The Black Women Who Control Televisions News. Author Ava Thompson Greenwell and several Northwestern University women students of color discuss how the managers' family lives and educational backgrounds contributed to their newsroom leadership styles.
