Blue Room, the fan-favorite and multi-awarded film at Cinemalaya 2022, is about an indie rock band comprised of woke, albeit sheltered teens who get arrested for possession of illegal drugs. They are hauled to the VIP detention area called "Blue Room," where they are tested to either use their privilege or practice what they preach.

Screen Cap hosts Cenon Obispo Palomares & Avie Felix, and guest co-host Ned Trespeces, talk to filmmaker Ma-an Asuncion-Dagñalan and co-writer Siege Ledesma. They share the evolution of the material since Ma-an started developing it in 2010, the importance of collaborating with the right people, and the challenges they faced shooting in the middle of the pandemic. Blue Room won 5 awards at Cinemalaya 2022, including Special Jury Award, and Best Director for Ma-an.
