This episode of The Modern Recordist has us exploring the life of a creative visionary through the life of the rock band Aave. Some of the specifics we touch on are the band’s writing and recording process, how they organize and divide the labor around the creative process, and Villain Place – a record label and production/media company that the band also runs in parallel to their own music career.
We also discuss the mixing process around their forthcoming record, “There’s Nothing,” which I had the pleasure of mixing. “There’s Nothing” will be available August 14, and this episode features 3 songs off the album.
