Hey guys! The first official episode of the podcast is finally here!! *cue celebratory dance* So this is a very large topic I am going to be talking about, it is so large, that I have to break it down into 4 part episodes! Yeah I know that's like a lot, but each individual episode is going to be talking about very important topics pertaining to the flawed justice system pertaining to the black community and speaking on a range of topics, such as mass incarceration, juveniles sent to life in prison without any chance of parole especially of our black youth, the system declaring war on people with substance abuse, and innocent people on death row. This particular episode, part one, will be going into depth on juveniles sent to life in prison without any chance of parole, Trina Garnett and her tragic case, and other topics that will be mentioned in the episode. I feel called on, and I truly feel it in my heart to speak on these darker, but necessary topics to of course inform/educate the black community and really spread awareness of the flawed justice system through one of my role models (God first of course), law professor, lawyer, and activist, Bryan Stevenson and his self written book "Just Mercy". It is a phenomenal book and is an excellent aid to the topics I will be discussing. WARNING: THIS HAS EXPLICIT, GRAPHIC, AND TRIGGERING CONTENT THAT IS TALKED ABOUT and don't say I didn't warn y'all because I say it several times in the episode.
