Boom! 15 episodes in on this podcast party, y’all! On this episode of The Modern Recordist, we have Nashville based recording artist, Ted Fox, and his bandmate Rico.
Ted and Rico are old musical friends of the podcast host, Jon Stinson. Ted was Jon’s first ever band mate. Rico was formerly the front man for a band Jon produced a record for a few years back.
On this episode, Ted, Rico, and Jon reminisce about some of their old music making adventures together, the story of Mississippi John Hurt and how he influenced Ted’s musical style, the unconventional way Ted learned how to play the guitar, and why Ted even plays music in the first place.
Ted and Jon also recount the unconventional yet resourceful way they used to write and record music in their younger years, before they had any legitimate recording gear. And as always, there’s songs played live in the studio…
