In this episode of The Chat with Claire Fordham podcast, Claire interviews music executive Nick Gatfield. Nick was a sax and keyboard player with Dexy's Midnight Runners, before becoming a top music exec on both sides of the Atlantic.

Nick was Chairman and CEO of Sony Music UK and held President positions at EMI, Island Records, Polydor and Polygram.

He oversaw the signings of Radiohead, Blur and Amy Winehouse among many other great artists.

Nick shares his thoughts on Amy's genius,  her battle with alcohol and everything you need to know about the music business, including his new business venture of investing in artists' careers, Canadian signer-songwriter Allie X being one of his successes.
