Married to Kristi...The couple has 3 children. Older brother Joey, also an OF, was drafted by TB in 2002 and played 5 minor league seasons in the Rays and Padres systems. Graduated from Casa Grande High School in Petaluma, CA where he earned all-league honors...Had his No. 1 baseball jersey retired as part of the ceremonies on Jonny Gomes Day on 2/11/06. Attended Santa Rosa Junior College. Has the tattoo "AW" on his right bicep in honor of Adam Westcott, a childhood friend who was killed in a car accident that he was also involved in. Commemorated the 2013 season with a tattoo depicting the World Series trophy, the Boston Strong logo, and a duckboat from the championship parade. Has worn "707" on his glove and shoes to honor his hometown of Petaluma (area code 707).
