I separated from the Navy in 2014 after 8 years of Active Duty service.

I've kept that part of my life buried deep in my basement, until this year.

I'm now able to open up and take pride in what it is I did, able to talk about it, and able to get over the shame I've felt that I quit while my brothers carried on.

What I've created with The Family Alpha and Fraternity of Excellence helps soothe that itch a bit; it'll never replace my time in the military and the brotherhood forged there, but it helps and I hope that message spreads to other veterans who are looking to soothe that pain and fill that void.
