The young couple walks slowly towards the last house on the street at the outermost town limits of Haven’s Rest. They stop for a moment, clasp each other’s hands and turn the corner, and as soon as they cross the threshold of the street towards that last house, the entire world around them starts to get darker and several degrees colder. The well-maintained road fades into thick, uncut grass and dead leaves. Lots of dead things here as they huddle closer together, walking slowly down the narrow pathway up to the shack where they meet Ava, but Ava is not just an ordinary citizen of Haven's Rest, she's much, much more than that.
