Ben Reiter first moved down to Peru to volunteer in a small village outside Arequipa. He was teaching English and helping the local children. During his early days in Peru, Ben founded two charities. He began fighting MMA as a way to raise money and awareness for his charitable initiatives. With his Division 1 wrestling background, he quickly rose through the ranks of Peruvian MMA and became a legend down there. He eventually got a contract to fight in Bellator MMA and trained at Jackson Wink MMA.

Ben is the reason I first moved to Peru and became an MMA fighter. It was great to catch up on his story of everything that has happened since then. Ben is now working for a charity called Beat the Streets Philly which helps inner city children in Philadelphia through the power of sports. Ben is an inspiration in the truest sense of the word.
