Something happens to the human heart (soul) when it experiences unmerited grace and Jesus knew this. So he went out of his way to find moments to extend the kind of grace that doesn’t make sense in a common world. I am joined by Pastor Mike Roberts as we talk through the idea of uncommon grace.

  • Uncommon grace is a gift freely given with no strings attached.
  • Romans 11:29 sums it up.
  • Why is this an important definition of uncommon grace? Because people often use fear, guilt, duty and reminders of indebtedness to motivate children and church goers to behave in a certain way or do what needs to get done. Grace motivates by cutting those strings.
  • The difference between being gracious and extending grace is that one is an attitude, the other is an action. One is the muscle, the other is the exercise of that muscle.
