In this episode, I sit with Wanjuhi Njoroge, and she shares with me her takeaways from attending the World Economic Forum's annual meeting in Davos, and her experience of running in and losing the recent Kenyan general elections for the seat of Member of Parliament for Nyeri County.
We talk about the right attitude one should have when they find themselves in places of power so that it paves the way for those coming after. Wanjuhi is Founder of People Planet Africa, an enterprise involved in forest protection & restoration, sustainability and inclusive development that incorporates the perspective of rural communities. She sits on the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Foundation’s Board and the UNDP Kenya Youth Sounding Board.
Her work has further earned her the prestigious Top 40 under 40 Woman Award in Kenya.
