If you think that choosing a theme word is cliche or corny, I totally respect that. I know for some people it’s just not really that helpful! 

However, I’ve found that having a broad theme gives me a lens to vision for my year and shape my goals. I love that it always gives me a place to come back to.

Since choosing my theme for the year: I’ve found myself asking myself checking in with my intentions throughout the day and asking: ”Is this in line with my theme word for the year?”

Ready for my theme word? It’s “SHINE.” It might sound silly, but it's full of a lot of deep meaning for me. 

To give a little bit of a backstory: I had a really hard year last year personally in my life. There was a lot going on that felt really outside of my control. There was a lot that felt really dark. 

With all of the unknown, I adopted certain behaviors and fell into some bad habits that kept me in the darkness. That’s why I’ve chosen the word “Shine” for my theme this year. In this episode of The Support Squad Podcast,  I’m sharing four ways that this theme has shaped my goals for the year.
