Their guest star will be Dr. David Spong who retired in 2004 after a 43 year career in the aerospace industry. During his career, he grew from an individual contributor in the engineering and technical disciplines to becoming Vice President and General Manager of Boeing airlift and tanker programs. In 1998, he led this $3 billion dollar program to winning the highest honor for quality performance given in the United States, the Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award for manufacturing. David was promoted to President of Boeing aerospace support in 2000. In 2003, he was awarded the Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award for service.
