Today, Jennifer Brindley joins Andréa to discuss her journey with overcoming comparisons and fear of failure. She talks about how she struggled with comparing herself to other photographers and how she had to take a step back and ask herself if doing so was serving her. Jennifer shares a quote by Theodore Roosevelt that is so fitting for today’s episode “Comparison is the thief of joy.” With this quote in mind, She shifted her focus towards growth, personally and professionally. After doing so, Jennifer noticed that her perspective changed. She became able to draw inspiration from another photographer's work instead of falling into a jealousy and comparison spiral. That mindset shift not only helped to grow her business, it also helped her grow as a person at the core.
