Back in Kenya, some of my friends who are from other countries around the world would often tell me about their experience as a minority in a majority ‘Black’ country. I listened to them but I was never really able to relate because that was not my reality, that is, until I moved abroad to study. When you are a racial minority, you view the world in a completely different way as certain things that were not known to you at the time become very transparent very quickly. This episode explores some of the observations I have made as a minority.
