Since 2005, Peter Hans has been the president of Discovery Map International, leading provider of curated guides to top tourist attractions in cities and towns throughout North America. The Waitsfield, Vermont-based franchisor has maps in 130 communities in North America and has 91 franchise owners. 

Peter began his career as an investment banker in Switzerland for six years and following that with six more years in London. After working for a tech company in Vermont, Peter became the Resort Maps franchisor in 2005. He helped grow resort maps for the next several years and merged with Discovery Map in 2010. 

Peter and the Discovery Map team have taken the franchise to its present numbers, making it the leading provider of curated guides to top tourist attractions in cities and towns throughout North America, incorporated an app with those locations, and will soon unveil a Local Loot, an incentive program for local merchants.
