Hi sexy and welcome back to the Sexyfit Podcast!
The topic I want to address today is how to stay healthy, sexy and fit when you are travelling. If you are like me and travel frequently for business or fun, you need to plan ahead and know the strategies to stay on track.
Here are my best tips and practices to help you stay on top of your journey.
1) Always track your food
When you are travelling, it’s easy to get sidetracked and find excuses for having a bad day with your diet. It’s important to be honest with yourself and keep your motivation by actually doing what you said you would do, instead of beating yourself up. Tracking your food while travelling will also make you feel in control.
2) Pre-purchase bars and pre-pack shakes for the days you will be travelling
You don’t always know if there are going to be bars and shakes that you like at the place where you are travelling. They are not created equal and I have a blog article on protein bars that you can check out below.
3) Pre-plan your breakfasts
If you are grabbing lunch or dinner at places you are not used to eat at, you may have some digestion and bloating issues. That’s why my pre-planned breakfasts always include a green juice which saved my life many times. If a standard continental breakfast is served at a hotel, a hard-boiled egg and a piece of toast with butter would be a good solution you can plan ahead. You can also research breakfast places if you are on vacation. Or you can have pre-prepped hard-boiled eggs and individual packs of plain oatmeal with you in your room.
4) Look up restaurants before you go
If you are travelling with co-workers or your family, there will always be a question of where to eat. If you have that information available, they will love you because you made a decision for them, and you will know what you can grab on the go.
5) Make a commitment to yourself that you will stay on track
That’s a decision you are making meal by meal, day in and day out. Healthy eating and healthy, Sexyfit lifestyle isn’t something that you do on “normal” days and then lose it if you are travelling.
In order to achieve a sustainable lifestyle shift, you have to commit to your decisions, you have to keep track of things and you have to be prepared.
