Legendary Aspen broker and developer Bob Bowden graduated from Valparaiso University with a BSEE in electrical engineering. He became involved in the family electronic manufacturing business and attended graduate studies at the University of South Dakota and Stanford. In the mid-80’s, he sold his interests and moved to Aspen, CO where he invested in real estate, including a nightclub, and became a fixture in the community.

Bob went on to obtain his real estate license, became a successful broker, and eventually moved into general contracting and built spec homes under the flag Bowden Homes. With success in development, Bob saw a need to offer residential and commercial design services and opened the Aspen Design Room. Along the way, Bob raised four kids in the Aspen school district and currently serves as chairman of the Aspen Education Foundation board of directors.
