It was the end of the day. Fred Neil just wanted to go home but the record company people needed one more song. He wrote Everybody's Talkin' in 5 minutes, recorded it in ONE TAKE, and went home. Since the song's release in Dec. 1966, it's been covered and recorded by well over 300 artists in 17 languages.
