Today on the podcast, I talk with Janelle Vanderbilt, owner of Janelle’s Flame, a natural, soy based candle company that uses healing crystals to help attract positive energy.

Janelle was a stay-at-home soccer mom and found it hard to work a day job once her daughter went to school. She wanted the flexibility in her schedule to be able to take her to after school activities.

She realized that her daughter was growing up and wondered what SHE was going to do with herself once her daughter went away to college.
She had a love for candles, so she read books on how to make them and launched her business.
Janelle talks about how she got involved in women’s business groups and Instagram and learned how to be seen. 

After feeling stuck and doing things for others for so long, she has found her purpose and isn’t worried about her life as an empty nester anymore.
