  1. Setting Context: Reading an excerpt of a text that will be used as the focal point of the lesson.
  2. Naming the Revision Strategy: Explicitly stating the revision strategy being focused on in the lesson.
  3. Modeling: Demonstrating the specific revision strategy with hands-on examples.
  4. Collaborating Through Conversation: Students work together to apply the strategy.
  5. Applying Revision: Students use the strategy within their own writing.
  6. Sharing Results: Students present their before-and-after revision work.
