This summer we are doing something a little different. We are going to take a few women from the Bible and talk about their Frayed Knots! We will be discussing these women and looking at them to see how we can still relate with and befriend them.
The first episode of this series we are looking at Abigail (Old Testament) and a Woman on the Fringe ( New Testament). We have a lot to learn from these ladies.
Abigail was married to a horrible man whose name actually meant "fool"! She was faithful and still tried to help him and follow what God was telling her. Her obedience and bravery led King David to change the direction he was headed.
Not every woman in the Bible has their name mentioned. Turning to the New Testament, we find a woman who had been living with a blood disorder for 12 years! She knew the promises of Malachi 4:2 and trusted that by just touching the hem of His robe, she could be healed. This woman knew that there was healing in his wings (tassels of robe). She knew where power came from.
