We all have the stories we tell ourselves over and over again about who we are. We are used to playing different roles that feel familiar and safe to us. Some of them are positive, like the role of a loving mum or the best friend, but some roles don’t necessarily serve us best – the fat kid or the woman who can’t cook or do anything. In reality we all have that negative story we’re married to and our brain will only run through the same loops and patterns it already knows.
Today we’re talking about how to create new patterns and have the courage to play the roles we may have never played before – that of a confident woman, an amazing athlete or a great chef. Before we jump into the episode, I want you to ask yourself:
What is that one role that you play, that has got you where you are now?
What is that one loop that you keep running with every program and diet?
