We are kicking off with the first episode of Yellow Bee Pod on the topic of Ethnic Identity. In this episode, we sit down with my younger sister, Jessica Gar- Lai Cheung, to discuss our upbringing and how our ethnic identity has changed. As British Born Chinese women living in England, we were never quite "Chinese enough" OR "British enough". Even though we are really close, this is the first time we have had such an open discussion about our sense of belonging or childhood experiences of racism and culture.
