Lately, I’ve found myself in an odd space.

Not quite stuck, not quite sprinting — just … waiting.

Waiting on the podcast edits.

Waiting on the video edits.

Waiting for the moment when everything is live and “ready.”

As I wait, I make the connection to leadership. Leadership doesn’t only happen when the lights are on and the podcast is streaming.

It happens right now — in the waiting.

This moment, filled with restlessness and energy, is actually fertile ground. It’s the same kind of tension a runner feels at the starting line. Muscles tight. Eyes forward. Mind spinning. You know something’s coming — you just haven’t heard the gun yet.

And it’s right there. In that space that we lead.

We lead ourselves — by creating with focus.

We lead the vision — by clarifying with intention.

We lead others — by showing that you don’t need to be “launched” to be in motion.

So today, I’m doing something with that energy.

I’m writing this.

And I’m building something that will outlast the waiting.

Test.

Tinker.

Build quietly.

Lead boldly.

You don’t need a perfect plan to take meaningful action.
