Arthur Wellesley came to prominence by defeating Napoleon Bonaparte at the Battle of Waterloo, eventually rising to the rank of Prime Minister of Great Britain. 

But why is the Battle of Waterloo known more for Napoleon's loss than the ascendance of Wellesley? Robert Banquette has a theory. It involves Irish politician Daniel O'Connell.  And a tiger.
