Knowing if you are on the Hero's or the Heroine's journey brings great awareness and helps us us understand how to better manage our search for work.

The Hero's journey is an active outward process with a tangible goal to be obtain i.e. a new job, a raise, a new title.

The Heroine's journey is a more passive inward situation that forces the individual to respond to a change that was abruptly imposed onto him such as a loss of job, a burn out, etc.

It is unrelated to gender and most talent will experience both in their career's lifespan.
