According to legends, the World Spire was once connected to countless other worlds via a near-infinite multiverse. To a denizen of any other realm, the World Spire would seem like an impossible feat of nature, a seemingly-endless pillar of earth stretching up and up into the sky. The people of this world live in homes and settlements built into the Spire's wall. But for all its wonder, all of this life could very well disappear forever, for the World Spire is dying.
