Today I got to sit down with musical improvisor, American Ninja Warrior (ANW), and teacher, Erik Mulder. We talked about the fear that goes into learning a new skill when doing ANW and performing improv and how, overtime, we get to go bigger and build our confidence as we keep practicing and getting in the reps.
Erik talks about how improv and musical improv has given him so many gifts to include building a great community of friends and playing on stage with people who continually push him to be better.
Erik's team, Improv Cabaret will celebrate their 10 year anniversary and be performing at the The Clocktower Cabaret on Thursday, April 9th. Snag your tickets here: https://www.clocktowercabaret.com/shows.
His team, Improv Cabaret also performs on the first Saturday of every month at Flipside Theater. Find out more info here: https://www.flipsidetheatre.com/classes
Erik also teaches long form improv classes at Flipside with the next set of classes beginning on 4/22/26: https://events.humanitix.com/fundamentals-of-improv-pattern-and-heightening-april-may.
