This week Holly and Kristina are joined by Teddy Boldt, singer of Teddy at Night and Holly's older brother! Teddy shares his lifelong journey as an artist that led him to his current creative project. After playing in bands where his whole self was not fully accepted, he leaned in to the importance of authentic community. The music industry can strip people of their individual expression as a way to capitalize on their art. Teddy has found people to collaborate with who are committed to humanizing themselves as a way to make art that inspires, connects, and moves people. They discuss the idea of the burden of being a true artist and how that shapes someone's relationship to their creative process and art.
