Hi, I’m Lindy Kerby and you are listening to “Hope Songs” where I share inspirational music and messages to help you feel the spirit and give you hope through whatever it is you’re going through. I wasn’t sure which song I wanted to spotlight, so I just chose one I’m writing for a musical number I’m singing in church this Sunday. It’s all about recognizing who you are and how to understand things especially about God and feeling the spirit.

Have you ever wondered who you are in God’s eyes? What your mission and purpose is? It’s something I think about a lot.

A little over a week ago, I was asked if I would sing a musical number for church this next Sunday. I had no idea what I would sing, and I had no idea for this topic which was “How can I understand?” Yeah that was the topic - “How can I understand?” And I wasn’t even really sure I understood what the topic was. I guessed that it was a title for a conference talk, and it was, by Elder Ulisses Soares. I read the talk and it was about earnestly, heartily, firmly and sincerely seeking to learn the gospel of Jesus Christ and that by teaching it to one another, how it has the power to transform hearts.

It made me think a lot about how I’d learned about the gospel, and how it had totally transformed my heart.
