Throughout Melissa's childhood, her mother intermittently came in and out of her life. Her mother struggled with substance abuse and prioritized relationships with men over her own children. Additionally, Melissa endured an abusive relationship herself. Eventually, she broke free from that harmful situation and found solace in a husband who holds strong faith in God. She now walks alongside Christ, finding strength and guidance in her faith.
