Sally-Anne runs two social enterprises Tea Dance for Little People and Creative Homes. She holds a Masters in Dance Anthropology which inspired the social businesses to explore how creativity, play, dance and music can inspire families to spend time together. Everything Sally-Anne produces from theatre shows to the toilet sailor visiting family homes to support toilet training has the child at its core, choosing how they want to enjoy and explore and make sense of the world and their place within it. Starting as an arts cafe where parents, children and artists explored ever- changing imaginary worlds together through play, the business is now commissioned by national museums, children’s theatres and festivals such as V&A, Museum of London, Barbican Centre, Polka Theatre, Horniman Museum and British Library, Creative Homes works deep in the heart of communities Passionate about early intervention, TDLP and Creative Homes strive to give every child the best start in life. Having worked with 1000s of families nationally, this month the business celebrates 10 years of providing theatre, events, parties and targeted programmes for vulnerable families. Sally-Anne has gone on to train and consult charities, children’s services, theatres and community services on designing playful solutions, arts and health programmes and campaigns, accessing vulnerable families and innovative impact measurement.
Sally-Anne is a single mum of two rising teenagers. She juggles business, making her kids dreams happen and the monotony of the washing up on a daily basis. This makes her very happy.
