In this two part series, we had the opportunity to speak with Brittany Champlain. Mom extraordinaire and an advocate for mom’s going through post-partum depression. I am so honoured to have her in the show to share her experience with her pregnancy, from having a natural birth and the challenges she went through with post-partum depression to get to where she is today. One of the things I loved most about this conversation is how she illuminated cultural norms that we have about motherhood that could make a person feel more isolated in their struggles with post-partum depression. She also spoke about her challenges with her family dynamics and the experience she had going through a mental health facility. She spoke about her traumas and what got her through it. Lastly, she imparts words of wisdom and useful resources to help anyone who is struggling with mental health and motherhood. In the next episode we are going to do a LIVE trauma processing with Brittney. I know you got a sneak peak with the relaxation place but stay tuned because next episode we dive deep!
