Beyond the Profile

Ep 10 - Radio Broadcaster for the Texas Rangers, Jared Sandler

Listen Later

Jared Sandler, pre and postgame radio host of the Texas Rangers on 105.3 The Fan, joins Sheiny to discuss his passion for sports broadcasting and getting involved with a Major League team at such a young age. We go into depth behind his journey from broadcasting small minor league teams to now working with both the Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks G-League affiliate (Texas Legends). We touch on the lessons he's learned being a sports broadcaster and on-air personality and what he has specifically picked up from his Hall of Fame mentors. We go deeper into why he founded his own charity, The Sandlot Children's Charity, which provides athletic opportunities and sport specific experiences to children with physical disabilities, his take on the MLB today and if rule changes need to be implemented to grow the game, and his thoughts on the Texas Rangers 2021 season.

Beyond the Profile is a podcast where we discuss hard-hitting career stories with professionals of all ages. We’re looking to get into the nitty gritty when it comes to breaking down our guests' career paths, why did they choose the industry/company they work for, where did their passions come from, and what are they looking to do to make a difference in the future for the work they’re involved in. This is a chance for all of us to learn and potentially implement how these guests go about their business, decision-making, and ultimately how they found a love for their craft.
