Everyone loves a "Best Of" at the end of the year.
In this episode of Megafest, I'll give you the best of my 2022....the most life changing thing I’ve learned this year.
If you want to be surprised, stop reading now and watch the episode. Keep reading if you want a spoiler.
What do you do with the voice/voices in your head? Especially that nasty inner critic voice that tears you apart every chance it gets. Do you ignore it? Talk shit back to it? Try to makes friends with it?
This year, I finally learned how to deal with my inner critic and the voices in my head! This was the most life changing thing I've learned all year.
A friend of mine recommended I read, "Untethered Soul The Journey Beyond Yourself" by Michael A. Singer, which addresses the question of human identity, helps you develop or mature your consciousness, and covers other topics like the meaning of life, the concept of self, and theory of mind
Who is Michael A. Singer? He is an American author, journalist, motivational speaker on spirituality, mediation and new age philosophy.
In a nutshell, to be in charge of your mind, you need to:
Examine the voice
Observe the voice-it’s always talking
If you can hear it, it’s not you
You are the quiet observer
Your mind/the voice is interpreting the world around you with your five senses and past experiences
It recreates the outside world in your head Most of your problems come from the commotion your mind makes.
The episode's Word of the Day: Tranquil Free from disturbance and agitation in mind and spirit Serene, peaceful and calm
Here's Michael A. Singer's website.
