Ep 10. - What To Do When You Can't Run!

As a runner, there is likely going to be a time when you aren’t able to be running.

 

Injury is a common experience among runners but there are lots of other things that come up in life that take us out of the running game: work, pregnancy, illness, family situations, travel and many others.

 

Through my own experiences and seeing others struggle through periods when running isn’t possible, I wanted to share some tips and strategies that I have used to get through the tough period when running isn’t possible.

  1. Stay positive
  2. Be patient
  3. Stay connected to the running community
  4. Try something new
  5. Keep moving (if you can)
  6. Use it as an opportunity to get strong
  7. Focus on rest, recovery and rehab
