In 2019, suicide was the second leading cause of death in the United States for ages 10 - 14. Have you talked to your kid(s) about suicide or how to properly manage their frustration? Often times, parents struggle with when to have these conversations with their kids or whether or not it's necessary to have these conversations. It's important to have these discussions because similar to pornography or drugs, kids at their school are talking about. And you know what's interesting? Suicide ideation (planning, talking, and thinking about suicide) is a fad. Kids will talk about it as a joke and that is where the conversations become dangerous.
