When I mention “the hood”, it is a term used to describe the low income communities around the U.S. (and other parts of the world but that’s another story) that are predominately filled with Blacks and a sprinkle of Hispanics. The question is, what can we do to help change the structure or poverty culture of these low income neighborhoods? How do we reverse the poverty? The violence? The jails? The people? Are the people who live there the problem? Or is the place in which they live the problem? Why is “the hood” the way it is? Let me know how you feel in the comments below!
