This week I talk with Debbie Spencer from Desperate Dogs of Azerbaijan. We discuss how the rescue started, what the animal climate is like in Azerbaijan, and their plans for growth. It costs approximately $14,000 USD monthly to house and care for the animals that end up as strays in the area. Any rescue knows that, especially in the beginning, funding is the hardest to come by.
