In our pursuit of excitement and the "mountaintop experiences" of the Christian life we have taught people that the "high" of Christianity is what the norm should be. Certainly, God does exciting things in our lives and those times are awesome. However, the normal experience, those times when we're just doing ministry and going through life as a Christian can often be quite boring and uneventful. Is this good? Should we instead seek for emotionalism and excitement all the time?
