Cy Hirsche joins Dr. Terry Sellers & counselor Jared Miller to share his experiences. Cy shows great personal awareness as he explains the events in his life that lead to his substance abuse. He reflects back to his adolescence when he began to "rebel" against his parents' wishes. Cy shares that his substance abuse took off when he started to attend college at Utah State University. He shares that he never really got "hooked" until a sports injury that resulted in an opiate prescription that he abused. He shares that he was able to overcome that with some support & help. Cy shares a very vulnerable time in his life when he lost both of his parents in a tragic plane crash.
