In today's episode, we talk about the power couple of the tarot, the Empress and the Emperor. Now, I started this episode with only the Empress in mind, then it quickly became apparent that the best way to understand the ideas about the Tarot’s representation of the divine mother was by contrasting and comparing her to the divine father. 

Because our traditional decks typically show our pair regally sitting on thrones, I chose to look solely at the art of contemporary decks today. The artwork in the decks we look at helps to give us a deeper understanding of these two archetypes and what they can mean in your readings.
