The competition for the King's Champion has begun and Celaena is training to win her freedom. Along the way she meets some important friends and allies, but as other Champions start turning up dead, she begins worrying that there is something bigger at work here. Will Celaena be able to make it through the competition and will she finally open back up to having friends in her life?
