I made the decision to move to San Francisco a year ago and somehow, those 12 months have already gone by.

I had made a commitment to myself that I wouldn't go back home during that entire time so that I can force myself to immerse myself in a new environment and learn as much as I can.

Now that the year has ended, I finally decided to visit home and see my family again.
